Forest Lodge Library director
The Forest Lodge Library of Cable and Namakagon is seeking a library director. The successful candidate must possess outstanding interpersonal skills, demonstrate leadership ability, and have excellent organizational and problem solving skills. The ability to develop effective working relationships with the community, Board, staff and patrons is essential.
Duties will include: supervision of all library services and staff, responsibility for maintaining and updating the collection, budgeting, coordination of community relations and programming, and direct interaction with the Trustees, oral and written communication, coordination of grants, oversight of the care and maintenance of the building and grounds
The library serves the Cable Namakagon area, which is the southern part of Bayfield County. The library is open 44 hours a week and has a staff of 4 part-time paid employees.
Qualifications:
- Eligibility temporary Wisconsin Grade 3 Library Certification
- Not less than 54 semester hours of college credit, at least half of them in the liberal arts.
- Candidate must have appropriate DPI library license or ability to obtain such license for population under 1,000 persons. Library science courses may be taken while serving as the library’s director
