Print ScreenHere is a tech tip that will help you out and me. I am talking about the Print Screen button on your keyboard, located in the top right on most keyboards. It is usually labeled “Prnt Scrn”. It does just what its name implies. It takes a snap shot of the same screen that you are looking at and puts it on the clipboard (memory). Have an error message that keeps popping up on your screen? You can now capture it and send it to Mike or me. To do this, first press the “Prnt Scrn” key (picture of all the windows open) or “Alt” + “Prnt Scrn” (picture of the one active window you are looking at). Then go into your email program, word, paint, or any program you may want to use. Go to the Edit Menu>Paste and you should see a picture of your screen. This is very helpful for troubleshooting your machine or trying to tell someone what you are seeing and they are not. |
