Larsen Family Public Library Director

The Larsen Family Public Library in Webster, Wisconsin, is seeking a replacement for its retiring director. The successful candidate must possess public service skills, computer proficiency, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. The ability to develop effective working relationships with the Board, staff and patrons is essential.

Duties will include: supervision of all library services and staff, responsibility for maintaining and updating the collection, budgeting, oral and written communication, coordination of grants, oversight of the care and maintenance of the building and grounds, coordination of community relations, and direct interaction with the Board.


  • Wisconsin Grade 3 Library Certification – OR –
  • Eligibility for temporary Wisconsin Grade 3 Library Certification.
  • No less than 54 semester hours of college credit, at least half of them in the liberal arts.

Technical Services Staff – Land O Lakes Public Library

The Land O’Lakes Public Library is looking for a 20-hours per week, Technical Services staff member.

Responsibilities include managing interlibrary loan and circulation services, readers advisory and computer/technical assistance, cataloging and processing new materials, public relations assignments, and data entry and record keeping.  Stron customer servie, compter/technical skills and verbal/written communication skills are required. Grantsburg Public Library Director

The Grantsburg Public Library seeks an organized and dynamic leader to direct the operation of
their library.
Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, this position manages all
aspects of library operations including but not limited to budgeting, personnel management,
policy development, collection development, services, programming, facility maintenance,
marketing and advocacy. The position includes working rotating Saturdays and some evenings.
Qualifications: The candidates must be eligible for Wisconsin Grade lll library director
certification (54 semester credits from an accredited institution, half of which must be in the
liberal arts and sciences plus 12 credits of coursework that may be completed after hire).
Administration and library experience is preferred. The ideal candidate shall also possess
excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
with the staff, the board, the Village of Grantsburg and community organizations. KNowledge of
current library practices, technology and trends is required.
Compensation: The annual salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience,
however, the minimum salary is $32,000 plus an excellent benefit package which includes
participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System. This is a full time position.
