Badgerlink includes a subscription to LearningExpress Library, a great collection of resources for anyone planning a new career or seeking employment. It includes information on writing resumes, interviews, and other job search and employment skills; practice tests for occupational exams such as CDL, cosmetology, medical and veterinary assistants, air traffic controllers, civil service, real estate, and more; and career exploration information on a variety of career paths.
DPI’s Jen Champoux recently put together a video introducing the career prep materials available in LearningExpress. Take a look and share this great resource with your patrons job seeking patrons.
Patrons are required to create a LEL account to access these resources and track their progress through a module. Take note: patrons do have the option to create an account with a username and no email address, but DPI and local libraries have no access to account information. Without an email address on file to help reset a password, patrons will need to be extra careful about making sure they remember their account information.
